Are background checks required??
We are background-friendly and understand that life happens. Each inquiry is reviewed individually to determine if the community is a good fit. Our goal is to provide opportunities for safe and stable housing for those seeking a fresh start.
Is there a lease commitment??
No long-term lease is required. We offer flexible month-to-month living, and residents may move out with a 30-day written notice. This provides flexibility for those in transition or seeking temporary stability.
What type of housing is American Nurses Independent Living??
American Nurses Independent Living is a co-ed independent living community designed for adults who are able to live independently but are seeking a safe, peaceful, and stable place to call home. We offer shared and private room options in a community-centered environment.
Can guest spend the night?
No. Residents are welcome to have visitors during approved visiting hours; however, overnight guests are not allowed. This policy helps preserve the comfort, safety, and privacy of everyone in the home.
What is there to do nearby?
Our location offers a peaceful environment with access to several nearby attractions, including:
A local state park
Fishing areas near Lake Griffin
Bird Island nature access
A nearby church within walking distance
Outdoor walking and biking opportunities
This makes the community ideal for those who enjoy nature, quiet living, and outdoor recreation.
How close is the home to shopping and transportation?
The home is conveniently located just 1 mile from local shopping and public transportation, making it easy for residents to access groceries, essentials, appointments, and community services.
Is there a curfew?
There is no set curfew, allowing residents the flexibility to manage their own schedules. However, all residents must respect our quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM to help maintain a peaceful living environment for everyone.
Do you allow smoking?
Yes. Smoking is permitted, but only in designated outdoor smoking areas. Smoking inside the home or shared indoor spaces is not allowed.
